About the Red Door School
The Red Door School is one of Ireland’s first special schools where individual educational programs are provided under the science of Applied Behaviour Analysis. Founded by the Learning Centre for Autistic Children and starting in 2001 with just 4 students, the school has expanded and in 2009, moved to its current premises in Monkstown in 2009.
The Red Door is currently included with other so-called "Pilot" schools which are funded by the Department of Education. This funding doesn't cover all the costs incurred in running the school, but with fund-raising events run by parents throughout the year, The Red Door is able to provide the highest quality education to all its students.
